Fashion is both an inspiration and a challenge. It allows us to be mad and whimsical, to unveil
a woman’s true face... because it is she who truly inspires the great creators. Good clothing
is like a second skin for me, it lives with me.

“The City of Women”, a set of glass sculptures, it is the result of my fascination for the diverse world of fashion and for the foundry technology in which they were made. Working on “live” hot glass allows me to quick-set gestures, and to create the  soft lines and shapes of the female figure... women clothed in touch... changeable women, intriguingly diverse, always different...
and maybe always the same... naked, just like myself...

Agnieszka Le?niak
Graduated from the Ceramics and Glass Faculty of the Academy of Fine Arts in Wroc?aw, 2004. Studies at Academia di Belle Arti in Milano, 2002-2003. Presently employed at the Academy
of Fine Arts in Wroc?aw, at the Glass Department. She designs glass for the Violetta Crystal Glass Factory in Stronie ?l?skie. She won 1st prize for her Milano design in the Polish “Beautiful Glass” Applied Design Competition, 2005.
