The angels must help me in my work, otherwise the glass would not be so ethereal, delicate
and fragile. It would not have the luminescence and purity of heaven, and the sun’s rays would
not leave their reflections as they fall.

Kazimierz Pawlak
Graduated from the Ceramics and Glass Faculty of the State School of Fine Arts (currently
the Academy of Fine Arts) in Wroc?aw in 1982. Since 1982 he has been employed as a teacher
at the same academy, and he is presently a professor. He runs a diploma studio for students
in their 3rd-5th years of studies.
He received a scholarship from the Ministry of Culture and Art in the Czech Republic in 1988,
and a creative scholarship from the Creative Glass Center of America in Millville, New Jersey, 1994.
More important awards:
- bronze medal in the KRISTALLNACHT COMPETITION - Philadelphia, USA, 1992;
- Kiohey Fujity Award, KANAZAWA - Kanazawa, Japan, 2001.
